JF was giving away money to execs, now they need employees to take time off to cook the books. Bad math.
Last year we had to burn down vacation to a set amount or forfeit those hours. I was very much hoping that it would not be followed up with a layoff. I was sorely disappointed. Management moved a bunch of vacation off the books and that made it cheaper to lay people off as they didn't have to pay them out for as much accrued vacation. That was one of the key turning points in me deciding to move on from Emerson.
