Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Hypothetical question.

What would happen if a store successfully unionized? Has it ever happened and, if so, what was the reaction from the higher-ups?

"alleged improper firings of union leaders" I was told by our in-store educator (remember those?) during one of our yearly mandatory anti-union classes and votes (remember those?) that Whole Foods pretty much fired that entire store and started from scratch after the union disbanded. That is what the "alleged improper firings" refer to. Amazon is probably even worse in it's anti union busting.

The only Whole Foods store to ever successfully unionize was in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2002. The experiment soon became contentious, as the newly-formed union battled management over store dress codes, rising health insurance costs, wage increase policy, and allegedly improper firings of union leaders. Each side accused the other of bad faith, and the employees ultimately voted to disband the union the following year, before it had reached a deal with the company.

No and let's make it happen they are very against it so it would clearly be in TM best interest. What's good for the higher ups and whats good for store level is completely diffrent.
