Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

State Farm Do Not Rehire Policy

I need to terminate my deployment with State Farm through my Independent adjusting firm because of emergency reasons but have been told by several folks that they’ve been placed on the DNR list and will never be eligible for staff or IA work again.

Has this happened to anyone ?

I’m in a pickle because it’s either caring for a sick person or not ever getting another job with Big Red and making money .

Help !

I was a State Farm staff for about 6 month. I tendered a 2 week resignation letter and resigned honorably to take care of my sickle cell daughter whom the doctor quarantine in isolation for 3 month. But I was DNR by State Farm. They didn’t even communicate that to me in any way shape or form; only to find out when an IA firm try to deploy me and I was told that I am ineligible to handle SF claim and I asked why, they said it happened while working for SF. Then, the IA appeal to overturn it and it was denied. I move on.

I know this is hard to believe, but there IS life after SF. And do you really want to work for a place that puts you on a stupid list like that anyway?

@yvq+1cEVQYqP I agree with this guy, how are you an analyst but don’t have the funds necessary for life changes?

You are Not only management material, you’ll write your own bonuses one day!

If you have done a good job, they will take you back. Do not rehire? A bunch of garbage.

I worked for an IA firm that had two divisions, one that worked SF claims, the other division worked a number of other companies. Talk to your firm and see what your options are if you are put on the SF do not hire list. Life does not end if SF doesn’t want you. I would wear it as a badge of honor that they wouldn’t hire me because I had to take care of family.

As an IA this is a little tricky. The reason for the do not rehire is as you could imagine having IA’s quit in the middle of a CAT is really problematic for our customers. And often times the reason is not as genuine as yours appears to be. You may or may not be assigned to a CAT, just explaining the rationale Your best bet IMO is to reach out to TM and explain your circumstances. Good luck.

If you’re considering SF over caring for a family member (?) then you’re absolutely management material!
