Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Just got a job at a local ALDI

You have no idea the amount of satisfaction I got from telling everybody at my store I'm leaving for good. I was one of the few remaining employees who worked hard and tried to keep that place from falling apart, so trust me that my absence will be felt. Hopefully, some of the lazy good-for-nothings will actually have to stop staring at their phones the whole day and do something.

Congratulations! I quit back in May after almost 10 years! I found a better paying office job (M-F and no weekends and holidays!) and am so thankful to be out of Walmart. It’s so nice not being stressed and dredging going to work in the morning. Walmart is an awful employer that does not value their work force.

Congrats - I've heard Aldi is a pretty good gig.
They keep employee count low - personal responsibility and diverse roles are expected and respected.

@epw I'll bet you're the same d-mb@$$ that posted about going back to Reddit and post complaints there.

This just in...local Walmart closes as one employee found other employment at Aldi's.
