When they tell you you're safe laugh in their faces. They're just trying to make you feel safe so you would continue working like a horse for miserable pay and benefits while making them look good. As soon as they can find somebody willing to do the same thing for less money you can kiss your job goodby. This is experience talking, in case you were wondering.
