Corporate Has Run The Cabinet Business Into The Ground

Any cabinet Rep will tell you Lowe’s always beat Depot in cabinet sales in spite of Depot’s overall market share.

Not anymore, Marvin and his crackerjacks have destroyed their kitchen cabinet business! They’ve combined Appliances and Cabinets, eliminated Designers, and expect the remaining Designers to do everything including managing the installs and handle the numerous customer complaints!!! The new Hilljacks on the Blue Ridge are supposed to remotely design kitchens from their mountain top cabin. The new countertop programs are an abysmal failure!

What a Hot Mess they’ve created.

We will all be eliminated one day. It’s happened continuously over the past few years. Systematic elimination. Our PSE position was just eliminated at our store and several “underperforming” stores. “Greed is good”!

It's not just cabinets that are in decline. Lowe's use to have a commanding lead in appliance sales but with the demise of our customer focused in-house delivery service combined with the poorly vetted XDT rollout our appliance sales have tanked. For years I would hear customers rant about how much they HATED Home Depot's appliance delivery and install process. Now corporate has brought us down to their level. Why on earth would someone that was #1 at anything think they would improve customer service and market share by emulating someone in the #2 or #3 spot? Mark my words, once the sugar rush from all the increased pandemic spending and inflationary pricing fueled comps begin to fade it will become apparent just how much damage has occured to our bread-n-butter DIY base.

It only gets worse at Lowe's ,never gets better .Never.First hired in 2004 ,cannot believe what Marvin has done .Who wants to work at Lowe's now ?

I know that’s right in Ohio. We was competitive and Done real well with the sales. Not now we don’t. Customers is mad about how there’s nobody in the stores that can help them with cabinets now. Cause no else know how it gets Design done. Lordy Lordy what they done stirred up now is bad.
