I'm hoping senior management makes some statement soon to mandate the vaccination, to keep those employees who work closely safe. It's ridiculous it's not in place yet.

great, the use of unexpectedly in the press fuels goofballs. jv has had a serious illness for awhile so not a real surprise
CEO died unexpectedly🤔🤔🤔
You WILL be able to collect unemployment. You pay into that, you’re entitled to it. They might penalize you and have to wait 6 weeks.. BUT you WILL still be able to collect!
Mandatory Vaccine issued by Xerox. Get the jab by December 8, 2021, or be terminated. Even if you work fully remote. Also, you can't file for unemployment because you violated a company policy that was put in the HR manual yesterday. You can never apply to Xerox again because you violated company policy. Profits over people.
And you’re the problem…

I left in 2017 after 32 years. Got my 1 week per year sal. cont. plus medical for 32 weeks. They ki---d that a year later and sacked the 40% of the IT dept. I had been in. The rest were gone 8 months later all moved to XRX employees/dev shop in India that was managed by one of my peers. It was also risky that both my wife worked at the little X and I wanted to limit our RIGP exposure. She left in the Spring of this year (32x) due to the politicized atmosphere of everything, including impending racial equity inoculations, COVID-19 indoctrination and HIPPA Hypocrisy or forced vaccinations. (It is a level below forced sterilization). We choose to be free and not let our employer or any elected flunky make our life choices for us. (It is called Freedom Stupid.) We both chose to be vaccinated, in fact I have had 3 doses. My choice. I recommend it, but abhor mandates and gestapo passports. We had a ACA med plans ready to go with only a few day interruption in coverage. We started a side hustle years ago that we are now focused on (it's lots of fun) ad it will enable us to defer collecting SS until at least 66. Don't bi--h/moan/post about things, make a plan and move on. Be your own damn captain. Don't look for wisdom on the internet. (unless it is mine, lol) The RIGP lump sum "temp moratorium" and then the logical Icahn two step, nest step- RIGP "annuity only" debacle is coming. Once the lemmings start for the cliff, the lump sum will be on life support and go down hill quickly. Good Luck!
Be skeptical of politicized science
The Small Pox vaccine worked because nearly everyone globally got the vaccine and thus the virus has no place to fester, mutate and continue to exist, which is their goal. With only have the country and about 1/3 of the planet vaccinated at this time, Covid-19 is going to mutate with the strong mutations surviving and thriving because they are able to get past the vaccine. That's what we're seeing with Delta. So basically, as a species, we're helping Covid-19 to exist by giving it many vaccinated bodies to live in.
Vaccine is Awesome! 2 doses and now I got mad power point skillz from the microchip! What up with the anti science vaxxers in xrx? Any Flat Earthers out there? Think I’ll take medical advice from doctors vs paranoid boomer xeroids and Nicki Minaj.
“ In 1777 then General Washington mandated that all soldiers receive the small pox vaccine because small pox was a greater threat to the Continental Army than the Red Coats.” A big difference is small pox = 70% survival rate, COVID-19 = 99.7 survival rate. Plus they are two different types of vaccine. The small pox one works the COVID-19 one not so much.
What is it with this sheep stuff? We all live in a society and for a society to successfully work, some ‘freedoms’ have to be exchanged. Like stop signs and not smoking around gasoline. Vaccine mandates have been around in the US before the Constitution was even signed in 1787. In 1777 then General Washington mandated that all soldiers receive the small pox vaccine because small pox was a greater threat to the Continental Army than the Red Coats. Small Pox continued to be a threat to the health (and economy) of the country until State vaccine mandates became common in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s and were supported by SCOTUS (1905 Jacobson v Massachusetts). If you don’t want to take the vaccine, excluding documented health reasons, fine, just stay home and don’t interact with anyone so that the rest of us can work, go to school, go on vacations, etc. and now have to worry about being hospitalized with Covid.
Come on man. Just keep taking the boosters until you die! You know the thing.
Lots of anger inside of this guy lol.
Don't worry lots of people get upset when they realize they are sheep. Or possibly your upset how easily you are controlled by fear. Either way you ran to the front of the jab line and now you regret it.
Enjoy that weekly booster shot you are gonna need to keep that weak body and mind of yours alive. I think you'll be working from home sooner then your think sheep.
I tested positive……for refusing to live in fearr.
The vaccinated spread the virus equivalent to the unvaccinated. There is such a thing as natural immunity, many who haven't been infected have it..
Hopefully soon. Vaccinations should be required to work onsite, otherwise work from home or find a different job. If you work for Xerox, message johnv and tell him this. I did.
Here's the simple calculus:
- We all want this stupid pandemic to end.
- The end of the pandemic occurs when the health care system is no longer at threat of being overrun with Covid patients (yes, people will still get infected at this point, but there will be enough capacity in the health care system to care for both covid and non-covid patients).
- Fact: of those infected with covid, fewer vaccinated people need hospitalization vs unvaccinated people (yes, both can catch the virus; yes, both can get hospitalized; this is about rates across large population sizes).
- While we have some treatments for covid patients, their efficacy is limited. So far, available post-infection treatments have not kept ERs and ICUs from being overrun.
- Short of complete lockdowns (such as those done in Australia and New Zealand), the only way we have to reduce covid ER patients / ICU admissions is the vaccine.
So: vaccines are the tool we have to get out of this mess, and mandates are the quickest way to increase the vaccination rate.
OK all you reality-deniers, go ahead and whine about whatever and hit that downvote button. Or maybe suggest an alternative path for reducing covid hospitalization rates that is based in fact, not fantasy. I'd be very happy to learn of other approaches that would be more effective. But skip the conspiracy theories, please, at one point they were amusing, now they are just boring.
Vaccine mandates are NOT the answer. The vaxxed and un-vaxxed can get the virus and transmit it. Everyone has different comfort levels and good reasons whether or not to get vaccinated. If you're sick, stay home. Get tested.
Of course it was. That’s what they do to comments that don’t meet their criteria or point of view. Join the club. Oh well.
So it would appear that my comment on this thread from last night has been deleted by somebody....
Whatever.
Vax has a 39% effectiveness. About the same as an X machine.
Man, xerox machines really blow. Ust the biggest pieces of trash. Should be illegal to sell lemons. Don't do me any favors senior managers lol.
Sure, trust the "experts". Do you trust Xerox leadership as well, since they are equivalent "experts" in their field?
Glad you people aren’t running the world.
Those who refuse the vaccine should be fired. Fixed it for you.
Okay all 6 people who frequent this site, let's debate
Those who are afraid should be forced to stay home
Those who refuse the vaccine should be forced to work from home.
