If you've accepted a job here hoping to see your career grow then you are in for a major disappointment. You will be hindered in any attempts to move forward unless you know the right people or kiss the right butts. Management is in on it, so you have nobody to petition when you see someone less qualified and less knowledgeable than you move up while you stay stuck behind. That's Allstate in a nutshell.

Nepotism. Same as Farm
They are flipping the positions with external hires. Allsnake does not want those who know and speak of the scumbag tactics around. Hiring externally brings a new pool of unaware employees they can gaslight into thinking this place is ethical, top of its game and whatever else BS they spew during your interview. Drink the look aid or you will receive a UN on the behavior rating portion of your yearly review which counts for 49%.

Growth should not be used in the same sentence with the word Allstate. Wilson has acknowledged for the better part of two years that his Auto product is broken. He did a good job of slicing up the sales organization. He got rid of a ton of dead weight. If the intention was to fix the auto product and growing the line, cutting claims makes no sense. Now the agents are disenfranchised and are leaving in droves. Direct is writing business that is not profitable. The goal of the company is more profit on lower volume. Growth will not exist until Wilson sells this behemoth to the highest bidder. If you want to grow as an employee, and be affiliated with Allstate, take a job with Chub or Flo. They are the most likely to buy Allstate out.
I went to progressive after 4.5 years of stagnation here. Best decision I ever made.
I agree I was a trainer in property and left to go to another company in Cat. Don't have to justify my cat time as I'm hourly and large raise with car. SMH get out while you can.
- I agree. 15 years of applying for positions other than claims and always some excuse to promote someone else. And it always seems like they are new from outside the company and are friends with an Exec or have been here a couple of years but share blood or marriage with a higher up.. just a fact.
