Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Entry level wage is a joke

The entry level wage is $16 when a nearby call center is hiring for $20.

This isn’t even considering that other competitors are paying well above this while also being fully remote.

Average minimum wage in US just hit $15/hr. You literally make basically the same wage working fast food drive thru.

They don’t care about paying competitive wages here because eventually they’ll ship your job to Pune. They hired folks last year and then laid them off during a pandemic. Don’t work here.

If Allstate is paying India $5 hour then they have no shame paying $16 hour here to employees. Transformative growth

My current Team Lead was complaining that he can't get any qualified individuals to hire. I mentioned that starting employees at a call center at 16 an hour is a joke when competitors off much more for the same job. He said HR will not budge on wages.
