Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

The SCO IS CR-P

There is zero quality left here. Attorneys fleeing weekly for other jobs and not even giving notice. That’s how little they care and I don’t blame them. I’ll be doing the same after my official offer at another firm comes in.

I'm a retired claim lit manager and it's been my experience that the staff attorneys have done the best job they can given the heavy workload, and minimum resources and support provided by Allstate. Most of the attorneys I've had the pleasure to work with have been the utmost and dedicated professionals. It is sad to see on this forum what appears to be chaotic leadership (at the top) undermining what was once a vital and valuable resource for Allstate Claims. Best wishes to the SCO attorneys and staff during these trying times.

SCO’s are busy! Lots of changes coming over the next 4 months. Management is under a lot of pressure between all the changes and possibility of getting RIF’d. SCO’s are still hiring attorneys and support. Any Law Firm, any carrier, in house or out, is a very busy environment. There is a lot expected from everyone. But in my estimation it’s way better than billable hours.

What do people make of the new organizational announcement?

Good for them and you! SCO is nuts with the amount of files piled on, workload expectations and demands, and constantly changing procedures. If I could leave, I’d already be gone. Hoping to do that in a year when in position to move out of state.

Law® suffers from terrible leadership. It was bad under prior GC, but dare I say worse now?
