Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford employees getting legal counsel for vaccine mandate.

Talked to a few Ford employees who said they were getting legal counsel because Ford is looking into mandating vaccine. Wow!

I would hope that the hesitant would do their own deep research before deciding. I’m referring to medical publications and data analysis and not Facebook or articles from Fox News or CNN which are both on the opposite extreme ends of political “news”. I know several people who died from covid and they were not in the high risk demographics. I also know a handful of hesitants who became so sick that they spent weeks in bed while worrying they were going to die. These are previously healthy people I actually know and not Facebook friends or friends of friends. Two were hospitalized. One is 30 with no preexisting health issues and six months later still has breathing issues and no sense of smell or taste. After recovering they all got the jab and regretted not doing it sooner.

Unfortunately, Ford, being a private business can mandate the vaccine for their employees. (I'll get downvoted for speaking the truth though.) Source - https://www.employmentlawfirms.com/resources/can-my-employer-require-me-to-get-the-covid-19-vaccine.html

Similarly, employees who work in the private-sector do not, as a rule, have First Amendment protection for their speech in the workplace. Source - https://corporate.findlaw.com/law-library/freedom-of-speech-in-the-workplace-the-first-amendment-revisited.html

Someone may believe they have a right to not get a vaccine and risk their own life but what about the people around them ? Don't they also have a right of not catching the coronavirus from someone if they happen to be a carrier/contagious regardless of all precautions taken by everyone? (I am allergic/highly sensitive to cigarette smoke. I used this argument when I had to go to HR for smokers at entrances to my workplaces in the past.)

I would expect that Michigan being a right to work state (aka fire at will), and any other similar states, may find a way to legally 'separate' those that are not compliant.

I also would expect that if a high number of political and religious exemptions from employees arise, then you better expect possible legal action taken against you. Can a standard employee survive a legal battle with Ford? Probably not.

Huh? Kumar released the return to work guidelines this last Thursday, which covered this.

No Vaccine = mask mandate
Vaccine = no mask mandate

This smacks of disinformation.

It's a free country. If you don't like it that FORD is looking out for those around you, then you don't HAVE to get vaccinated. Just get another job. Otherwise, suck it up, buttercup.

Finally Ford makes a smart decision. I would not want to return to work with people who are not vaccinated and unmasked. These are the same people who frequently avoid other safety measures. I can avoid them in my person life and don’t want to be forced to rub elbows with them all week. And yes, I expect a lot of down marks for this post but many others feel the same way.

And you're not allowed to sue for side effects from vaccine. If they are that confident in the vaccine, they should create some accountability for any harm resulting from the vaccine. They have no problems attributing deaths to covid yet when someone dies a short time after vaccination, then all of a sudden it's considered coincidence and needed further investigation, etc. And confirmed vaccine related deaths are considered collateral damages. It's collateral until it happens to you.

Would love to join them!
It is unconstitutional to mandate a vaccine!
This is AMERICA a constitutional republic!
