The only think more toxic than many of PepsiCo products are the politics and company culture. Irrespective of the pay, if one can find a more decent environment, get out now. Who can thrive in a tank full of sharks except others of the same stripe? The recent Topeka labor dispute and the corporate response shows just how arrogant and disconnected to the workers the management of this monstrosity of a company are. Add to that insulting your rank and file workforce with a paltry 1% raise during a brutal global meltdown while the C suite goons rake in millions in bonuses and the stock value swells. This has been one of the most unsettling, unproductive, stressful and overall miserable years of a four decade career in the supply chain. Mercifully, I am very close to retirement and this entire nightmare will soon be in the rearview mirror for good. What will remain in this ship of fools will, I fear, will be mostly young, woke and very naive recruits who believe the corporate garbage and “smile” in kind. Good riddance PepsiCo!

@1mkm+1c2OwpxV, I couldn't have said it better. I'm currently debating whether to accept an option where I would be paid a little less and, because of all this, I think I will.

Most people who leave Pepsi not only land on their feet, but land in a better position with sometimes a significant amount more pay. That has been true in many of my colleagues who have left, even for similar companies. Having PepsiCo on your resume is a big boost when you leave. We are grossly underpaid compared to the market. I am waiting for that “sweet spot” in terms of time on my resume and I will be making my exit.
The funny thing, is that everyone I know got better salaries. They didn't realize how much they were being underpaid, until leaving. Especially when you factor in the hours above 40 hrs. In my current job, I get $100 every time I get called. As you can imagine, I don't get called as much, and when I do get called it's because it's a true emergency.
I accepted a lower paid job 2 years ago and now am exceeding my Pepsi salary due to better raises at my new company. Get out- you will only regret that you didnt sooner.
