Analogies were actually spot on. Has nothing to do with fast food, particularly. If you stay at a Marriot hotel, as another example, you are staying at a franchised hotel but that has nothing to do with the fact that you're still staying at a Marriott Hotel. As for liking sports, most red-blooded, alpha, Americans tend to like sports. Nothing wrong with that.
Enough with the analogies. You must really like fast food and sports 🙄🙄
LOL, the main thing that will be missed about the old KMart is that it had a bathroom.
There's a sale at Penney's!
@1imn+1c4D0RJR I Know! It's like discussing what the Bar does with my empty Bottles after I leave the Bar. I'd much rather hear about where there are some full Bottles, than discuss what someone does with the empty Ones. This location has nothing to do with Sears at this point. Dead issue.
It proves that Eddie isn't simply throwing darts at a map to determine next closures. Real estate conversion deals are still rolling, albeit slowly.
Ok, new news, but not really relevant to "current" Sears operations in any way, in any way, except that it used to be a Kmart. Sort of like discussing what the new owner does with your car, after you sell it. Maybe he'll do something really interesting with your former car, but you probably wouldn't care because she no longer has anything to do with you anyway. But, to be fair, some people might be genuinely interested in what the new owner does with the car so I can see the other side of it too.
Ya it was mentioned on July 16, that a grocer was taking over, and you are correct that the new name was not mentioned there.
This is not old news. The article cited which was posted “2 weeks ago” did not confirm the grocer; the new article does, so this is indeed new news. Thanks for sharing.
There wasn't a dedicated thread, but this was Known since July 16, so not exactly breaking news.
Was there a thread on here about it? I didn't know until I read this post.
Old news. This was Known, as of 2 Weeks ago. https://www.google.com/amp/s/therealdeal.com/2021/07/16/astor-place-kmart-to-be-replaced-by-grocery-store-sources/amp/
