Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

1 year anniversary of separation from SF!

I was terminated unjustly 1 year ago already. How do I know it was unjust? Because I won my unemployment appeal! Anyhow. It’s the best thing that’s happened to me. As I sit at my new job with better, cheaper benefits at a company who isn’t looking for any and every excuse to get rid of people or eliminate pension plans etc I can only smile. No longer having to live in one of those disgusting & overpopulated rat race OC or hub metros. State Farm is a dirty company. I’ve worked for other insurance companies as well and they’re also slimy - I even once walked in on a meeting between regional heads and a local congressman where they were trying to bribe him into legislating away strict state salvage law..at one of these other companies and not SF of course. Wanna know my alias? FUSF :))

If you’re thinking of leaving: try to get fired instead so you can get unemployment benefits and make those sh*theads pay. It’s clearly only taking away from their marketing budget and bonuses for the freakshow at the top.

The po-n star comment was actually me - the real OP. The user talking sh-t with the Walmart thing would be interested to hear about my coworkers in property-complex who had advanced degrees not paid for by SF. I was an injury cs let go because MT needed some more lunch money. My tm was just a lackey who knew the place stunk like rat sh*t but was willing to throw anyone under the bus at a moments notice. His only true skill was his masterful doublespeak. A yes man with a brain compromised by green paper.

OP here. 14 companies with pension plans? You sure know how to read headlines and run with a fake argument. 16% of Fortune500 companies alone offer pensions. That’s 80 companies. Perhaps you could learn to read? Oh, wait..you work for SF ;)

I knew this was a hoax when you mentioned your pension plan. There are literally 14 companies in US offering a pension plan. Lies. All lies.

Better and cheaper benefits?

Take advantage of the mental health benefits, we don't want to see you next year.

I'm certain you are sorely missed at whatever you did.

You showed them!!!!!

Have your new board told you they appreciate all that you do yet?

Glad you got terminated! SF made the right call after all! Hope your backside healed from the door hitting you.😂

Unemployment appeals process is pretty bogus though. I’ve seen people awarded unemployment benefits for a job they accepted…then no showed for.
Just saying if we think SF bureaucracy is a mess, they’ve got nothing on the unemployment system.
