i was searching mens clothes on macys web site and was shocked to see how much garbage they call merchandise. no dress shorts no flat caps and no nation/private brand polos worth buying. belk may be turning to its zelos brand more and more but at least for now they still have styles worth my time and money.

What about the vacuums, coffee makers, blenders, and sheets. Walmart has the upper hand with tires. Target with the grocery. Missing entire categories to stay relevant.
Go inside a Macy's then go inside a Belk. Enough said.

I have no clue who writes this but Belk has VERY VERY VERY VERY little better merchandise inside the stores, maybe Charlotte and Jacksonville The Avenues and a few other select stores have better brands, but the majority of Belk stores have low grade store brands and a sea of solid colors. That is a fact, Jack. So whoever is saying Belk is on par with Macy's is a shill or a fool.
i want to end this back and forth conversation i want to be clear that im referring to the few great brands and categories that belk still carries like izod polo haggar and the exclusive brands that take the spot light when compared to macys brands which are styled in a new york/california style that does not work in heart land america

What are you talking about? Macy’s does not offer polo and Nautica in most major categories? They have 21 pages of men’s polo clothing, shoes, accessories on their webpage. are you a shill?
macys does not offer nautica and polo in most major catagories macys also lacks any private label worth spending the inflated sales price on. and for instances macys brand shoes are made out of artificial compound plastic from heel to toe which in most testing only last up to four months of average wear tear. even belk has stayed away from these types of materials and merchandising practices.
While I disagree about Macy's I think the men's stuff at Belk is nice enough for the discounted price. My problem is that my store has stopped receiving size small and I've noticed on the website they are sometimes only listing medium and up. The small was already sized up enough so a medium looks like a muumuu.
WTF? Macy’s has Polo, Nautica, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Kenneth Cole, Coach, Michael Kors, Armani Exchange etc... Belk has Wonderly, Saddlebred, Crown and Ivy, Kim Rogers, Ocean and Coast, and Alfred Dunner. Maybe the person who posted that comment is a shill.
