Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

I want to continue WFH

How low would you be willing to go with your pay to avoid RTO? I'm thinking of taking a remote job I was offered but the pay is nearly 40 percent lower than what I have now. In any normal circumstances I wouldn't even be considering this, but my expenses are significantly lower when I WFH and I've genuinely been happier.

Now ET folks feel they are entitled to WFO and live in their fancy houses and sit and tell others what to fi and get paid way to much for doing little. Meaningful Or smart/intelligent hard work.

They Lie bout hours they actually do tasks and take tons of time off and don’t use PTO. (Stack it) while others have to use it.

Now laughing bout new mandates cause they “love Being at home” and don’t think they need to ever come in. Just shallow and immature and slap in face to others (of less pay)

Keep in mind this ridiculous behavior is from existing “leaders” that love to say they run projects & make and delegate process and create silly tasks for others.

They don’t do much In reality and mismanage time. They mess around and act high and mighty and religious. Clearly they are selfish and not good leaders when others do their work and most folks have been working with the Public and at office for a while. Just not the ones they keep putting in a pedestal cause they have too much fun at home.

Not good leadership

Typical and just silly players mostly who use and exploit others and gain

Normal folks

I’ve taken pay drops and had a level income for 15 years. Not like the long time career Folks. Mostly used the time to learn & get out of toxic and extremely shady projects & work situations and to grow. Financially it was tough but worth it.

Career path folks with big retirements are a joke anymore. Not the norm. They can’t fit well elsewhere but will use their State Farm name to act like experts and knowledgeable and worthy. It’s not good.

It’s worth the risk to move in and just do it in the short and long run but be resourceful.

It would depend on who the other company you are thinking of jumping ship to WFH for is.

I am considering a pay decrease for the opposite. I want to go to the office. I want to be around people. However, if someone is performing well and wants to keep working from home, I see no problem with it. I don’t think State Farm really knows what it is going to do so I am just waiting to see how this all plays out right now.

You have to own your own feelings. Nobody else can tell you what’s going to make you happy.

Money is not a sign of success. Health, mental stability and having personal gratification for what you do is. SF does not understand that. They think putting more stress into your life is their success not yours.

I took a $15,000 pay cut to leave SF. I am so much happier and have very little stress. I say it's worth it.
