Is it just me or is Schwab trying to show that they are getting rid off of people who are supposedly not engaged, while they actually cut people whose workload has been tripled in recent months? Yes, that seems to be happening. What’s next, the target will be those who can’t tolerate a quadruple workload?

Is this the same company we work in? Because my workload had gone down. I'm just chilling, "working from home" wink.
Workload is intense. Environment is intense. Culture is rapidly changing and external global factors seemingly okay no role in these things. The company is fundamentally changing and will see the results of internally and externally.
It's insane right now. Every technology group at Schwab has had a reduction in headcoun, with more to come. Yet the workload has increased. Many are stressed out and overworked. Nobody cares as senior leaders are turning their backs on their employees. There's no sense of team or family any more at Schwab. We're in perpetual layoff mode and each all hands meeting we are told "great job everyone, we are so proud", yet their actions have created a culture of fear and disengagement.
