Just like someone wrote, the area I work in was also very understaffed after a large number of people was laid off, only to become overstaffed very soon after. Total failures. Do they even know what they are doing?

The department I’m currently working in has been cut in half. 6 employees total, the rest lost their jobs to Pune. Corporate looks at ALL departments and positions. Those that they feel that are ‘redundant’ they eliminate. No one is safe. No one.
Allstate is like a pendulum. it's always at one end or another but never in the middle. That's what you get when you don't have any long term planning or vision, but instead are and reactionary and chasing trends.
Be careful. Overhiring may be on purpose to eventually pick cheapest employees and filter out longer tenure employees.
