To stay in the company where I am overwhelmed with work, while others who are privileged for some reason do not have even a third as much work, do not have stress and have an excellent work-life balance? Unfortunately, only those who cannot find a job anywhere else will soon remain in this company.

Oh you mean like people who only do one job and one job only. When you ask them to do more they say its not my job or thats someone else's job. That's not my group or team so why should I help them.
Well. I mean. At least you have a paycheck unlike the hundreds of people that were laid off in the past 12 months. Many if not most of whom can't find another job...
Let me guess, you are young with mortgage and maybe kids and probably deep roots in OKC? They know the ones they can pressure and you won’t leave vs the others or those with deep roots into your management team!! Hang in there and keep looking over the fence because it will probably get worse as other worker bees leave.
