Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

Why don't you want to go back to the office?

What are your primary reasons why you do not want to return to the office? I feel that there are not strong enough arguments to return to the office. The biggest reason is that I don't want to go back to the toxic atmosphere in the office. My productivity is not lower while working from home, in fact it is higher. Also I saved a lot of money and time on transportation.

If you don’t want to go back the office, you don’t want to work. Office life is part of the deal. Management will take note of who doesn’t want to come back. Most people who like their jobs, want to come to work.

Don’t be “that person” who doesn’t want to come back or they just might give you your wish with being terminated.

I’ve been back in the office for a year now and love it. My advice to those is to start now, at least one day per week. You’re going back after Labor Day anyway so you may as well get used to it again.

You have a job. Stop whining!

I want to get back. I am really surprised at how many people don't. Being home day after day has always been a bore but I wouldn't mind a hybrid.

I'm being asked to return to the office because of all the collaboration that will happen.

In reality, nobody I work with is in my office. Now I can take phone calls and web meetings from the office instead of home.

These people need to F right off.
