Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

The Fulfillment Team lost their Unavailable Days

Management took away our Unavailable Days and they said we are Support but our Schedules are generated and we have 3 weeks in advance when we are working. Is this going on with all the Macy's?

It falls under discrimination ....look up the fair labor law. All employees are to be treated equally. The company has to offer ALL employees 3 unavailable days not fair to single out support. Support also works weekends.

Try putting in those unavailables for August. If you are in fulfillment 8880 they are no longer there.

Why are we learning this from here and not our ovm or managers or whatever they call themselves now??

Fulfillment team used to fall under the selling bucket but has been moved to back of house. This is why unavailable days are no longer available. Management doesn’t have authority or even access to take those away. Unavailable days are an option for selling floor colleagues whose schedules are automatically generated versus support schedules that are manually input by the OVM’s.

In the store where I work, the non-selling associates have a regular schedule of only weekdays with early hours like 6-2 or 7-3 and occasional weekend or evening shift, if needed.

No. It happened at my store too. Support has never had the option of unavailable days that I know of but fulfillment just switched over to being called support a couple months ago and they lost the option to have unavailable days then.

Seems like this is happening at your location only? Fufillment team is entitled to and generates 3 unavailable days a month. Their schedules are generated like a selling floor colleague. There is no way for them to take it away from you, its in the system for you to use....
