If you would read the job title listed on the open positions it says “COACH/OPERATIONS MGR”. “Assistant” is nowhere to be found.

If anything the apa will report directly to the market ap manager like in stores without apasms...

I have been told the ops manager is basicly the overnight manager.. could be wrong

Operations ASM is an older term for the Front End ASM.

Hopefully the APASM position goes away. There's absolutely no need for it any more. Just get the APA's to report to the Front-End Coach and maybe give FE another TL so the Coach can get more time for paperwork. Seriously, what do APASM's do?!

There used to be a Day Ops ASM at NHM stores. Don’t know if their structure changed with GWP.

I would think any new salaried manager positions would be called "coach". Thought walmart was phasing out the assistant manager title.
