My team and I are busting our as--s at work while one of my coworkers is busy schmoozing it up to management to get out of doing an honest day’s work. Worst part, this coworker is shown so much favoritism that the rest of us have been tempted to walk out. I can imagine how well that would go over with management. It’s been going on for months and personally I’m not sure how much we can take before one (or all) of us explodes. There have been little snide remarks here and there, but sooner or later there’s going to be some type of blow up over this - it’s only a matter of time.

We got a team lead that get away with everything. Example multiple breaks going missing for hours leaving the store while on the clock. While me and another team lead ki-l ourselves everyday
We called those people gophers, personal secretaries or Starbucks personal delivery boys/girls.
Yeah, there is definitely favoritism that goes on. I saw it at my store too. I’m not an a-s kisser and doesn’t look like you are one as well. My front end coach was nasty and such a bi--h. She had her small group of favorites and if you are not one of them she would make life pretty miserable for you. I’m so very happy to no longer be working there. The whole place is toxic. They have the worst mangers that treat people like sh-t. You can be the hardest worker and bust your a-s but if they don’t like you tough luck. All while the laziest employee gets to stand and do sh-t and gets away with it. So so happy to be out of HELLMART!
Walk out then. I am sure that your selfless act of being immature and walking out will cause Walmart to make sweeping changes company wide!
Absolutely, you and your coworkers should walk right out. That is preposterous behavior on the part of management! Just one thing: before you walk out you might want to update your impressive, extensive and broad resume detailing the depth of your post 12 formal education and your skill set so you can seamlessly transition your career from being a Walmart associate to your new position.
In reality, management rarely plays favorites. It’s more likely a situation where your attitude or behavior has caused you to be singled out in a negative way.
But yeah, just walk right out. I’m sure there’s plenty of career challenging positions waiting for you.
Thats walmart for you. We just got a new SM and the SM is clueless on who works and who doesnt. I am tempted to leave because of the disrespect and cluelessness of the new SM.
It is what it is.
