Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Specialists

With the migration of Millwork to Central Quoting coming soon, waters heater installs sold through corporate ,migration from M2o to then new system, more Appliance sales online etc., etc., I’m thinking more Specialists are going to be given that laptop speech like when Plumbing Specialists were called in to the SM’s office and informed they are CSA4’s. The same scripted speech given to many others. Am I wrong?

If Lowe's cannot figure out a way to either be staffed up at all times and with amazing staff OR learn how to run lean with quality, then they are doomed. It is going the way of Sears for sure as most of them are from Sears now. It is sad to watch happen.

The systems and positions they’re eliminating are running Lowe’s into the GROUND! Lowe’s is going the way of Sear’s.

They (corporate) don't need to do anything as the specialists at my store are quitting just as fast as everyone else. As for online appliance sales, talk about a train wreck and a never ending source of customer complaints and financial loss. Water heaters in our market are done by a 3rd party and all we do is put in a lead using the lead app. One of my Kitchen cabinet designers recently had one of the central office designers get involved on one of their designs (on a day they were off) and they (central office) made multiple mistakes in the process. Just par for the course with all of the hastily introduced and poorly implemented changes being made. Corporate is systematically eradicating almost EVERYTHING that once separated us from Home Depot and sadly many of the things that once made our customers loyal to Lowe's are now gone. All we need now is some Orange paint to make the transition complete. :-(
