My job at Lowe's has been reduced to counting how many days are left until the next non-working day, which passes so quickly that I can't even get enough rest. I don’t remember the last time I had a slightly more relaxed day here. I hope to find a new option soon because I can't stand this company anymore. Sometimes it seems to me that even my manager, for whom everyone thinks is very comfortable here, can’t wait to get out of here.

burn-out has always been a legitimate issue in the worklife but after 16 months of insanity it has become a monster problem. I am not opposed to calling in now and then to give yourself a three day off in a row stretch. It helps some. The staffing issues have been goind on here long before the covid era but now that people make more to sit home it is even worse and that adds to the stress and fatigue of us minions who do show up
