Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

PSE

PSE thinks specialists should handle his f-ups, complaints and replacement parts orders because “he doesn’t have a co-ordinator”. Give me a break! As a Millwork Specialist without a CSA in the department, and a do-nothing Dept Mgr, I make half the money of this high paid, condescending ahole (and I can’t tweak the schedule to manipulate time off like I know he does). I refuse to do it. Sc--w the do nothing “CPO” too!

As a Lowe’s employee yourself, would you let Lowe’s install anything in your house ??

Maybe we should have a separate in-store dept to handle installations and issues. Oh cr-p we did but got rid of it because why? I don't know maybe because corporate is a bunch of id--ts.

Not sticking up for Pse's, but they are just tools for Lowes. They make a lot of they sell a lot. With all the issues, customer complaints about products, the install, deliveries, (holy cr-p the issues with deliveries) they wouldn't sell alot of they were dealing with it all by themselves.

Lowes took away the in-store support offices, outsourced the phone calls (not the service) to CPO and made it so the stores get tasked with fixing it all instead.

This was all done so:
1-Pse's sell more so Lowes makes more
2-Lowes cut installed sales jobs and now has a call center with fewer employees at a lower pay rate
3-they make the stores deal with it all with what employees they have.

Such a broken system really. If each store had an installation team with salespeople, coordinators to assist with schedulng and issues, in house delivery team, local installers the teams know.....it would be better.

Where Lowes is now on regards to all of this was purely a result of profit. Cut jobs, pay less, do more with fewer staff

The mo--ns also put lead generation on the backs of specialists by pulling them out of their departments (not making adjustments to SPH for this), and making it their responsibility “or else”. Specialists are getting written up for not generating leads! Yet the PSE has zero involvement (as originally was required when the program began). This is ridiculous! Can this company not generate leads through telemarketing? “Let’s spread the specialists out so thin, up their requirements, and write them up if they don’t toe the line!” I’m pretty sure specialists are next on the chopping block. Again!

Honestly this is due to corporate greed. They push the PSE to sell absolutely as fast as they can and as much as they can. The CPO office is really nothing other than a glorified call center. This is the way that Lowes management has structured the program unfortunately.

Due to corporate greed your estimated wait time is 3 days and 4 hours we appreciate your business just not enough to retain employees

The best way to get to install cells back is to let corporate see the Flames from up high

With the restructuring of Installations, this has placed immense responsibility and pressure on the PSE. Adding to this is clueless DM,s. This company is starting to see a lot of cracks and a huge build up of customer complaints. Starting to look like Sears!

Yea this program has definitely gotten out of hand. The PSE in my store will make about 200k this year, with scotched earth in his wake. Sell it and forget it and move on to the next su---r.Guess who gets to clean up the mess with the unhappy and forgotten customers? Yep, department specialists...
