Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

Wage inflation to hit GE Healthcare

Wage inflation is expected to hit GE Healthcare for new hires. Bunch of d-mb a$$es running the show, laying off good technically skilled and semi-skilled employees who were in their (the Company) wage and salary lanes.

Enjoy paying upwards of 25% more for new hires to ahem’ , lure people back to the ranks. Lol.

Good luck with that. :)

I have seen this time and time again. RIF someone only to bring them back shortly thereafter as a Contractor at a much, much higher salary.

I guess they could not find anyone so they find themselves in a bind.

They must teach this at all the MBA business schools.

Scam of a place to work, GEHC MKE and no I do not want to spend ANY outside time with ANY of my GEHC colleagues. Can you say back-stabbers?

My manager didn't even pay for team building. All out of pocket and saying no was awkward when she is the one planning it. The inflation are all the luxuries they are laying on leadership. Big event coming up with hotel stays, team building stuff, waiters and gift parcels. Glad I left.

Have been moving towards a model of a few marketing and program manager types in US directing an army of cheap, inexperienced labor in China and India for quite awhile now. No wage inflation.
