I don't plan to stay here for long, but I'm still interested in how it is possible that corporate neglects so much those on whom this company really "stands".
Good employees - good company.
Bad employees or no employees - bad company or no company.
Do they really have no motivation to improve working conditions for ordinary employees or are they not finding ways to do so? I refuse to believe that they don’t know that most of their success depends on the employees.

You were assign a number when you started. Throughout your tenure, you are a number, nothing more, nothing less. You are no better than cattle or sheep. You are to be lead, trained to bark at given signals as in ( hi , what project are working on? Would you like to saves 5 % on your purchase? and a few other cues.) For your training, you are given a reward: money, and an occasional extra treat( service badge so you start looking like a WWII soviet general) This is the mindset of corporate America these days. They have us hooked, were many of us were trapped with the golden handcuffs, you cant go anywhere else and make the money, or you need the insurance, but you are trapped.
A great burden has been lifted off of me, I was able to get out...And letting my body heal from doing the work of 2 or 3 people , am able to see more clearly. Retail has turned into a dirty , heavy job where we constantly lift, carry more than we should. Customers are rude, management ask what have you done for me today?
If Lowes survives past the "dear leader" reign, I will be very much surprised. But to them, success depends on getting the very most out of the employees.

You can refuse to believe all you want. Fact is they believe any associate can be replaced with any other, like interchangeable parts. We are just expenses on a report.
