It has been leaked by reliable inside sources that with the imminent sale of Watson Health along with the spinoff of kyndryl, that Rochester MN will be closing shop.

I live in Roch and was thinking the same thing. After the chip debacle and now WH and GTS leaving there will probably be less than 1000 souls left. And seeing all the press regarding new buildings in RTP This is very possible

This kinda plays into IBM’s previous actions IBM sold 1/2 of the facility to Hitachi 15 years ago. IBM then downsized and sold 80% of the remaining property to the city and a developer. IBM then renegotiated the leases and dropped down from 33 buildings to 9. Now it’s time to say goodbye.
