Store managers are now telling the front end to get involved in claims and DSD and they are taking over APAs

In my store the APASM does most of the duties of the Front End Coach. Whomever riled this out is an educated Home Office worker, who has not worked in a store, or not in a long long time. Mr Sam is rolling in his grave. Walmart is in a downward spiral. Walmart was a great place to work, not anymore. Lets fee it, the Division, Regional managers are clueless compared to 10 years ago when they were veterans of stores. Look at the Regionals experience in stores (not Home Officd out of touch jobs.)
The team leads never do More to the Floor. I can offer to train anyone until I'm blue in the face, and no one ever responds.
I choose to view that as job security. At this rate they just can't get rid of the claim supervisor. We're the only ones who actually process claims, donations, and disposals.
Oh, and the f'ing clearance aisle!
AP TLs will also report to the APASM
They are testing a new structure in certain stores called AP Teaming. The AP Lead (new position) will be in charge of Claims, DSD, and Grocery Reclamations . All of those positions will be consolidated into one position. Gone are the titles of Claims, DSD, etc. All those associates will be called AP Operations Team Associate, who all report to the AP Lead. As a result of this, the Claims Supervisor position will be eliminated and they will have to find something else to do. Customer Hosts would be renamed to AP Services Team Associate and also report to the new AP Team Lead. AP ASMs would still exist in this test since they would only be in charge of the Asset Protection Associates, who would be renamed to AP Investigators.
I didn't see any tidbits about severence and what not. What they did here, is officially create a team lead position that is over Claims, DSD, and Customer Hosts. Most stores were unofficially making the Claims Supervisor run Claims and DSD. No clue what the pay structure is for this new position, but no Claims Supervisor in their right minds should even consider taking this. This means Claims and DSD associates must be able to work in both areas (similar to the MRA structure). However, this is all on paper right now .I can see the implementation of this being messy. Does the AP Team Lead stay in the backroom like the Claims Supervisor does? If they are made to work on the salesfloor, that position gonna be hectic as fu-k, just like other Team Leads are.
The stupidity on here is comical. AP ASM and APAs aren’t going anywhere. You expect the Front End Coach to be able to handle more tasks and people? They can’t handle what they have now.
AP Teaming and AP Team Lead is what I heard.
We just got a new apm 2 months ago. He's new to the company and left a decent ap job at CVS thinking it would be a good move. That really stinks if they hire someone, then a few months later, eliminate the position. But that is exactly how walmart operates!
My AP manger is worthless. She hasn’t caught anyone her whole entire time at my store. One time a sco host told me to call 100 to tell the AP manger that someone was under ringing their items AP manger told me that’s the sco hosts job and that’s why they are there. Completely worthless and she shouldn’t still have a job.
Oh great, another office for our front end coach to go hide in all day.
I can see the apasm position being eliminated since they weren't bumped to a coach like OGP during this last round. Most apasm could see this coming. What will that do for the mapms or whatever their titled changed to? Haven't seen a market level anything in our store for 4, 5 months.
Hopefully they eliminate the claim supervisor. I want the severance! They keep pilling more and more responsibilities on us. Doing 3 different jobs and expected perfection in all areas. I didn't get the raise in November like a lot of claim supervisors did. People in pick up make more than me. I am sick of it.
