Most of the “partnerships” and business partnerships the leaders in areas in ET digital brag about building were rather prior to digital. Despite all the high fives, pride and kudos. It’s basically and manipulation job grades and ranges and roles : people that did it before just got paid a lot less to do the same stuff or more at lower levels/ranges while certain folks all got titles and promotions and salary increases during vivify. They are not project analysts nor project managers. Depts that did more and had a real structure and work intake process that worked smooth got shut down in vivify and after.
Not very cool for the folks in areas the shut down and moved to demeaning tasks and roles they let go that did the same things only without the titles or work actually engaged working “leaders”
How many layers do you need anyway in one area despite the trolls saying they are “lean” & mean $$$
Obviously the minions get all the dirty tasks so they can build “influence” & take credit for doing work or projects while delegating most of it. They act like experts and get the check marks on their goals and micromanaging then calling it mentoring “leadership” but never had to put in a ton of effort or have experience prior to getting promotions or higher pay grades
Lotsa folks and layers taking credit while taking tons of time off and making the minions do their work. Titles are fake as are many people. Decades of this type of thing at Farm
Exhausting to watch. How many people does it take to turn on a light switch or be a lead or manage a in a department. Most companies would say not so many.
But common sense means nothing in the planning & resource and budgeting world.
