All of these indicate additional measures taken to reduce workforce and or reduce employees due to their actual work production. I can guess they’re putting new devices in the badges that track employees whereabouts on campus to see in fact they are at their stations being productive
Before somebody screams infringement of personal rights :::: it is not against the law :::. Hospitals have nurses wear badges that track how long they stay in a patient’s room I know others will say “HIPAA laws “ it’s not disclosing personal private information about patient or the wearer of badge “simply their location”
Regarding a previous post discussing changing of job titles - it is a way to require additional experience and or education in order to hold job-transfer workstations -transfer programs and or projects or it can also be used as a way of decreasing base pay. There is much more on the horizon for the newly formed raytech

RFID is a technology that every company uses to track their assets. RTN is just keeping up with the times. Need to locate a piece of missing equipment? Use RFID. So how does this technology correlate to layoffs?
The RFID trackers is a little surprising but not entirely. We recently had our machines hooked up with tracking software. Tracks when the machine is on, what program it’s in, is the spindle turning, what RPM is it turning, how long it’s been “down” and if it’s been down for more than 15 minutes you have to physically log on and explain why…every single time, every single day, go to the bathroom, have to explain, go to lunch, have to explain, had to change tools out, have to explain, setting up a new job, have to explain. This will all play a role in your performance review and will likely be used to decide layoffs/reductions in the future because they’ll have a production % attached to your name. Which is hilarious because if you work in an area with lots of new projects or wore out equipment, it won’t matter, they won’t want to hear anything about why it is not 100% production. Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the RFID trackers, I’m going to keep my eyes out for them.
RFID trackers being installed on MS plant wide. Saw them today. Every door, in and out, every hall way, lounge room, etc. Tan box above door way. pallets of these things.
Look, this is supposed to be a place to give people a heads up as to what we have heard so we don’t get blindsided by things. I do think that we need to each state if we are floor level workers or office level. I personally am a floor level worker (manufacturing) and I have heard multiple times from multiple levels that layoffs/reduction in force/ voluntary separation or whatever phrase you prefer is very likely at end of year, (Q3). Will that apply to office level people? I have no idea but that could be why some have heard about it and some have not. I think it’s important to clarify if you are in office, engineer, manufacturing, etc. that will probably help narrow things down.
Last time I checked this was a discussion board not a right or wrong simply a medium to express views opinions and ideas. When someone’s ideas, views or opinions do not correlate with yours does not necessarily mean you should become offensive. I believe that is the trouble with society as of late. If you have an opinion that differs with another state some facts, views, or state your opinion don’t simply say shut it down stop stirring the p-t engage in conversation if you’re able.
I guess changing the company logo is an indication of layoffs too. Stop stirring the p-t and making things up just to get a reaction.
Good! They can track how long I am sitting on the john taking a morning 🌄 consultation. Touchette!
These changes are common to get both legacy companies under one umbrella and does not indicate workforce reduction. Email address will be changed to, from @Raytheon. Com to @RaytheonTech.com, and computer systems like PRISM will probably standardized too. Either UTC uses PRISM or RTN uses UTC systems or new one altogether. Layoffs strictly rumors fir now.
