The Feds are already working on the next shutdown... We are looking at a lot more working from home folks... get ready to hunker down again!

Face it, the majority of people do not want to work in the office anymore.
Have you seen the crime in some of these cities? It's off the charts.
So to the very few that miss being in the office, get a life already.
My safety is more important than smelling your hair gel all day.

What's the big deal? Life has to go back to some semblance of "normal". I'm vaccinated and have been meeting with clients for the past few weeks. Let's all just move on and not get left behind.

No one cares about GTS anyway. You’re Kyndryl now. Go home.

GTS- from Cali to Maine (is that a local enough decision?)
Some IBMers have an option to relocate to a dedicated CIC or resign.
Offer letters will be sent in July.

Have a great summer, and good luck finding a home in this market.

Mandatory co-location is a local decision.

Can confirm? Sounds absolutely BS to me after attending last Q&A.
Several will have the following 2 options:

  • relocate to designated CIC by end of September
  • do not relocate = immediate resignation

They gave no option of wfh until 2022. That would be nice though.

Can confirm.
Email said offices would be open as normal. Employees not required to go back to office til 2022 at earliest.

If you read the actual email that was sent, it was literally just saying that office would be open like normal and you could go in if you wanted. Up to now you weren’t allowed in to work in there. Read the actual email from HR mo--ns.

You are the imbecile. Hopefully they will fire you!
This is by CNBC:
IBM tells U.S. employees they will return to the office in September
IBM told U.S. employees this week that they will be able to return to the office the week of Sept. 7.
Fully vaccinated employees will be able to work in the office without a mask.
The company did not say whether or not employees would be allowed to continue to work from home after Sept. 7, but did say it would promote a good work-life balance.
IBM's U.S. employees will go back to the office the week of Sept. 7, according to a memo sent to staff this week from Chief Human Resources Officer Nickle LaMoreaux.
In the memo, which was viewed by CNBC, LaMoreaux said IBM is working on protocols for fully vaccinated employees to work in the office without masks. In addition, LaMoreaux said IBM is working on health and safety protocols for business travel and meetings with clients from outside the company.
The memo didn't specify whether or not employees will have the option to continue remote work either full or part time, but did say IBM has "long-established practices and policies supporting work life balance which will continue as we return to the office."
The return to work plan only applies to IBM's employees in the U.S., where Covid-19 cases have dramatically fallen in recent months amid a massive vaccination drive across the country. IBM operates in 175 countries.
Also on Wednesday, Facebook clarified its post-pandemic work plans. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said most employees would be allowed to work remotely if their jobs didn't require them to be in the office.

  • CNBC's Hugh Son contributed to this report.

If ibm weren't told to return to office then who are they opening the offices for?🤔🤔

Are you renting it to non ibm employees?

Management is trying to make a U turn after the debacle because no one wants to go back to office full time.

That’s fake news. IBMers were NOT told they will return to the office. That’s not what the email said. Imbeciles can’t read.

Read between the lines. We’re not being forced to return to the office. They are just “open”

WRT the second bullet, IBM hasn't determined what that will look like. From the recent email:

Our current policy requires masks at IBM locations, regardless of vaccination status. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be working towards an updated policy and protocols where fully vaccinated IBMers can work onsite without masks.
