Cisco is one of the best companies for new graduates according to Fortune and I don't find that surprising one bit. Cisco can't wait to get rid of anybody over 40 and welcomes with open arms fresh-out-of-college types who will work for cheap and will not rock the boat. I don't think that's a sustainable strategy, but what do I know...

as a 30 something year old who's been here for 5 years - I find many of the older engineers lack the knowledge, but have the experience, but still brag about their time working on legacy gear back in the 90s. "Back in my day...."
It's sustainable if the strategy is to sell legacy network equipment to governments and businesses. The college hires leave after they see the lack of career growth.
