There is nobody who is part of the upper management who comes to mind as a person who would be able to change things here and set us on the right path. What we have left are people who will keep cutting employees to fatten their bonuses, no matter how that affects the company. Frankly, if there wasn't for the possibility of severance, I'd already be gone.

You're misguided to think they want to change it? They've known for a very long time there is no lipsticking this pig. I think the higher ups came in expecting an easy wind fall. None of these wanna be, throw away, left over c suiters were smart enough to see the problems with a company that hadn't invested in any new technology and had pilfered money on a new business that fooled the greatest CEO of all time UB. There is nothing left to salvage. Its just languishing now and these higher ups want one thing out of this - money, a gold parachute. They are all pretty old so they are about at retirement age. As long as they live out their years comfortable what do they care that a company they never cared about failed??? they have no reputation to save. Get out while you can.
