I feel sorry for all those who have dedicated their years and loyalty to this company and for whom layoff would be the worst thing that could happen at this moment, but I hope that they will soon tell me that they don't need me anymore.

I was already looking in January when I got lay off notice in March. Just perfect timing ! One more month left of training the replacements but I am leaving with bonus, severance and peace. Blessing in disguise.

Oh I’m so with you on this. The only thing more toxic than much of the garbage this company manufactures is their culture of fear. The cutting ax is always dangling out there. But hey, keep smiling, say the management. And now like most large companies, they’re “woke”. So if you don’t fit the new narrative - be prepared for an extra serving of guilt. I’m plotting my exit every day.
