Since this post, quite a few jobs have been moved from Findlay to Houston or San Antonio. They are making Findlay people move to TX, yet they are allowing people in live in TX to fill Findlay positions.

Why not have the HQ in San Antonio?

The transition to Houston has started. It will be a slow process. Commercial org first - they’re hiring for positions located in Houston that for now connect to SA. I’d guess in 5-10 years there won’t be much left in Findlay, and rightfully so. A major oil & gas company isolated from peers in a sleepy Midwest town? Romantic yes, but not realistic.

What’s the update on shopping for real estate? Focus on Houston or also dallas and Austin?

Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Good way to drop most of the findlay people and hire real talent in Houston.
