Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm an STM at a smaller store in Mississippi. Is this allowed? This sends a mixed message to my associates.

we would throw our cr---y RVP and Store Manager under a bus, cement mixer, mac truck, you name it..
eh.. given the opportunity I believe you’d throw eachother under the bus. Always got your nose in everyone’s business. Maybe try selling more merchandise and help get this company back to its glory days
you may smell a snitch...I smell a store manager and RVP about to be fired.
That’s right....and I smell a manager fixing to be in the unemployment line.
sniff sniff. I smell a snitch
we also are experiencing this in my store.
this is something that started when sycamore took over.
our manager is very vocal about not working nights/weekends.
thats a sign of a bad manager and company,
I've never heard of a retail manager having weekends and nights off, that includes Macy's, Wal Mart, Target, Publix, Kroger, Harris Teeter, even stores like Best Buy. Usually weekends are the busiest time. If the store manager is off every weekend and does not work nights, something is very, very wrong.
If a store manager is only working bankers hours than the RVP is in on it. They both need to go.
This happened to me at Sears as well. The store manager would only work until 4pm. One day the RVP's boss came in around 5pm and asked where the store manager was, we told him she left at 4 everyday. The next day, we had a new store manager.
If this is a true post, then I agree the RVP is in the know, maybe each covering for the other.
Why given everything going on with the company does Belk still have RVPs? If the old divisional offices were useless, then RVPs are even more so. Useless brown nosers who will throw anyone under a bus to protect themselves.
Dublin Store manager works every weekend
I would go above the RVP, they already know he/she has all weekends off.
No it is not allowed. Are you as the STM having to work all the weekends? If so email your HRBP and RVP. Your store manager is also required to send a copy of the store schedule or his schedule for the month to his RVP and they will not be happy to see that he’s off Saturday and Sunday, the days with the most traffic.
Allowed? I have no idea, but mine does the same. I’ve worked 8 weekends in a row now. Also absent is the new HR person, that maybe works part time hours? To, theoretically, do the schedule, lol
