Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Contacted by head hunter

A head hunter who I have known in the past contacted me about a month ago just to see how things were. After all the chitchat he told me about some of his experience with RJ recruiters. They didn't come out and say it but reading between the lines he got the impression that they are not interested in any of the laid off people. He also mentioned that he presented a couple jobs to others never affiliated with RJ. They instantly turned him down. RJ had now developed a reputation to stay away.

Headhunters know how hard it is to convince someone to consider working for RJ. Many are moving on. It isn't worth the effort going thru the gyrations to get someone interviewed at RJ.

A headhunter friend called me about 2 months ago and wanted me to try for a job at RJ. I absolutely refused.

Only desperate people would apply for a job in IT at RJ. It's a sweat shop and only the VP's are rewarded.

not surprised. I know a person who interviewed at RJ a couple months ago but after they talked to a few people they decided it wasn't worth the pressure. They passed.
