Yea, Anita as a geologist also was 'somehow' put on the Board of Directors for California Resources Corp (CRC) as HSE Director. What a terrible joke. Btw, Oxy unloaded their past debt anchor on CRC, so it could never succeed and that's one of the primary reasons they went bankrupt, in addition to keeping too many terrible Oxy managers and supervisors.

Also JD was on the team that evaluated and bought the Bakken assets from Anschutz. Oxy got tired of losing money and divested those properties few years later. Funny enough JD went to work for Anschutz, after they pocketed $1.4 billion. Oxy divested it for $600 million.
There is lots of hurt going on in this situation. It is too bad.
Yeah up to them how to live their lives. But they were bad managers and bad people. So, don’t feel bad if they get trashed. AP kept geo salaries low on purpose to look good in front of CEO and get better bonuses for herself. Horrible leadership, looking only after themselves. Urged people to save money meanwhile using company plane to go and visit her boy JD during weekends in CO. Gross people.

I have been here 15 years and would mind serving another 15 before my day comes.
Stick with it. Oxy has had its ups and downs and sometimes the stuff that goes on seems a bit crazy. Welcome to the Oxy world. In the end when you retire you may be very proud of what you and the company have accomplished. You also might have lots of money for your troubles. It is up to you.
So those who may be 10-15 years from retirement risk all respect if they plan to do so. Sounds like a self serving condescending statement made only to pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself on your superior intelligence and morals.
