Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

Escalating attrition rate?

Is it just me, or does it feel like a LOT of newer employees are resigning these days, especially within the past couple months? Anyone know what the current rate is now for attrition?

I don't blame the ones leaving, as if I was new to the company and saw this mess of layoffs, poor leadership from the EM puppets, and bleak longer term prospects, I'd be running for the exit too. I guess it'll help the company reach the staff reduction targets. Only problem is that they're losing the wrong people.

The entire Imperial finance function (with the exception of Tax) should be "ported" to significantly lower cost GBCs. Currently, almost all the significant accounting processes are managed by GBC, there should be no barriers to moving high cost, non-value added BAR and RU analytics to GBCs.

I think the attrition must be intentional since much of the communication focused on creating a less stable environment. On the plus side, if they got what they asked for - they might stop with the harsher policies (high pip, relocation etc.) and it could get better by next year if we hang tight. Just takes time. Nothing against those that left - I get it.

People are leaving like someone opened the floodgates of a dam.

Who’s going to be around to support the “Alliance to blame government”?
