It is not too late for Macys to be an online powerhouse. They blew it years ago by not recognizing and maximizing this potential- management just enamored with their current success and power.
Amazon is still a messing, disorganized, disingenuous place to buy RTW. Macys has enormous opportunity but the management needs to be replaced- employees must be supported, rewarded and encouraged and not terrorized to do a great job.

It’s too late … Macys outsourced its .COM and backend-systems to cheap near-shore and offshore cronies years ago.

UPS is to blame for packages being crushed. If you saw how UPS loads up their trucks with deliveries from Macy’s you’d understand.
The system has improved But packing is inconsistent. Over the years I have ordered the same cosmetic products and many other items. So poorly packed. Things come crushed. It is a lack of proper training on how to do things. Very little care is taken to get the order out to the customer. Items are just thrown into any container that is handy. Opening a package from Macys can be very disappointing. Macys needs to show some leadership and set some standards. Why can other retailers send out products so well . Wake up Macys do things the correct way. You are not inventing anything new.
