Cuts are happening every month, but in August there is a possibility that they could be a bit bigger (just a rumor I heard). In what ways are you preparing if it possibly happens next month? There are many tips that experts advise on how to prepare for layoffs, and they usually come down to two crucial ones - update resume and get your savings account fat.

We don't need any layoffs here, the technicians are leaving voluntarily.
No one is protected. Eventually everyone will get let go. It's the Carl Icahn way of taking over distressed companies and then selling them off.
I was let go and was replaced by an existing colleague who now has 4xs her workload. I'm glad to be gone!
the layoffs are ongoing. Here is a question, when was your last raise?
Hopefully getting a blowie tonight.
Nah, I don't even fasten my seat belt anymore.
Not doing anything as I feel pretty comfortable in my position and not at risk. If you feel you are replaceable then just have a resume updated but not that urgent as I still think it's best to wait it out and make sure you get a package.
The only change I made was stop working OT and ki----g myself. I just let the work pile up now.
Consult a lawyer if you’re in Canada. Laws are different.
Dont listen to the sue crowd. Fool’s errand. No case. No chance to win. Uneducated comment.
Vacation the rest of the year!
Lawyerup!
Why wait? Your Xerox skill set that you developed over the years is more valuable than you think. What are you waiting for? Higher pay, contribution to 401k AGAIN, yearly raises, you might get a bonus and employee training. If they are not investing in you, why invest in them. Your being used like a loaf of bread or toilet paper !
- Resume updated
- Doing interviews, even if just for the practice
- Have been cutting my own expenses ever since the large August 2018 layoffs
- And this one is important. I've been refusing to do the extra work they keep adding. I'm still doing the 2x work that was added in late 2018 after the large initial layoffs, but I have been backing away from the additional workload since then because my sanity is just as important as everything else.
Decide if you are going to sign away your right to sue in exchange for any severance.
Should have your stuff in order anyway. Writing has been on the wall for years. Glad I'm gone.
