What an Incredibly Awful 8 Years

How many people were released due to “restructuring” when AKM ran the show? How many people could honestly say they didn’t feel appreciated or had been treated unprofessionally when MAB ran Human Resources? How many people did you see running around the campus with their chest stuck out saying “I’m a leader” when when SCD, SWM and JAF were there? Suddenly that came into vogue in 2013. Before then, you didn’t have to say it. People knew who the leaders were, who they would work for if given the chance, and who was full of BS, in way over their head or were douche bags. There just seemed to always be enough people who would stand up for what was right and not stick a kn--e someone just to make some jerk happy.

Always interesting reading posts professing love for crazy risk taking narcissist AKM or the incredibly incompetent angry DL.
Here’s a clue. Neither one had a winning strategy. The only difference is AKM made the Kool aid drinkers feel loved while he was sticking it to everybody he could. DL wasn’t as good but also stuck it to everyone while protecting the equally incompetent all under the guise that this AKM guy really screwed stuff up! Worked for about three years until we figured out he was way over his head.
So go on, fight it out but just understand that the current state of affairs was determined by the reign of both. Bank your money, learn all you can and get out when it’s time!

Oh yes they contributed across OKC - ALL ON BORROWED MONEY! Many people were treated cr---y in those days too. Rose colored glasses by some folks - but I remember because I was there. Just stupid how people love to rewrite history to glamorize some id--ts of the past who bankrupt the company as they lined their pockets. Never held accountable for the way they left CHK in 2013!

The post didn’t opine on AKM’s risk tolerance which everyone agrees was insanely off the charts. It referred to how people were treated, the culture, enthusiasm, and lives that were changed because of CHK and it’s employees. For example, through charitable giving. CHK supported every social and civic program in sight, and so did the vast majority of the employees. That sense of civic responsibility was driven top-down and went out the window on 4/2/2013.

LOL. You must be delusional if you think the AKM and MAB era was that good. Those two were the most corrupt and self centered leaders ever to exist in a public company. If you were there - you must have enjoyed the humiliation of having to dress up at Halloween and parade like id--ts for AKMs entertainment each year - that was just one of the many stupidly insane things they did to let people know they were the “top leaders” and you were there only to serve and blindly entertain. Forbes labeled AKM correctly as the worlds most reckless billionaire - although the billions were from CHK borrowed money!

Yet I do agree that the last 8 years have been nothing but he-l - and it was totally because of the steaming piles of $#!+ that those crooks left behind. The clean up and fall out of their glory years is what ruined CHK. Fact.

It was fun watching the suction hoses changing manifolds when DL and his Anadark team took over the company.
