Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

"Does anyone work here?"

Today in my store:

Electrical: no one scheduled after 2
Tools: no one scheduled after 1:30
Hardware: no on scheduled after 2
Cabinets: no one scheduled until 1
Inside Lawn and Garden: no one scheduled after 12
Lumber: non one scheduled after 1
Flooring: no one scheduled after 3:30
Appliances: no one scheduled after 7
Cashiers: 1 scheduled after 6

Essentially, no one to help customers in 3/4 of the store. And they wonder why customers are leaving in droves.

I went to 442 in indianapolis to. It a sc--w on 5 gallon bucket lid. Home was empty. Two employees were on a computer two feet away talking and complaining about their schedules. I stood and looked in top stock and still no one asked me if I needed anything. As I left I saw that there was only one cashier and she was manning the self service kiosks. NO other lanes were open. There was a long line of apoplectic customers. I will never be back. Menards here in Indy has more and better merchandise, everything has a price, and they have things in stock. Amazon has my lid for 1/2 the price. Marvin is leading Lowe’s into a battlefield where they can not win!

Went to Lowes today. I was buying plants and bags of soil from outside lawn and garden. I wheeled it all up to the front of lawn and garden only to find the gate closed, racks in front of the registers and no cashier's. Closed up.

It's summer, 11am. Why would you not have a register open out there!?!

No, you get to working on your resumé and you put yourself out there for a better job with better pay and work environment. Why be like a jellyfish and stay with a company that will eliminate you sooner or later. Be proactive and realize that you don’t have a future with Lowe’s.

Over the 4th of July weekend i noticed an Ad for Lowes. They no longer call them stores ,but call them showrooms. I guess that indicates the direction they're headed as an online retailer . who knows maybe Amazon will buy them up after Marv's bubble bursts

Not only is it bad from a customer service standpoint, it also makes the store an easy target for theft. Totally unbelievable the direction we are going in.
