And I can't decide if I want to accept it for one main reason. It's been 20 years since I've been "the new guy" anywhere. I admit I got too comfortable here, and now the thought of moving to something unfamiliar scares me more than staying here does. Has anybody else felt like this? What did you do to overcome it?

I understand the apprehension, but after 27 years I was glad I made the decision to get out and go to competitor who valued my experience. It was truly a breath of fresh air and I felt like Andy Dufresne at the end of Shawshank emerging from the Allstate sewer....you will too.
Now I just smile, shake my head and think, "why didn't I do this sooner"
You know what the right decision is. Change is hard, but most likely worth it in the long run. Good luck in your new position!
I left after 19 years in April of this year and I can tell you I haven’t looked back!!! I see with all the posts on here and talking with friends that stayed, I made the right choice to leave. It’s a different time and I now have the mindset that I will stay at my current job for a few years and then look to move up again. The job culture of staying in one place for 30 years is dead and gone so the sooner you wrap you mind and thought process around that, the better off you’ll be…. Good luck in your new role!!!!
Jesus Christ take the new job
You obviously know you need or want to leave otherwise why did you waste your time and energy also theirs? But I get it, being the newbie has its own feelings that come with it but there's a huge difference being new at a job with no prior experience or starting a job with tremendous experience where others will see you shine. If it's an offer worth leaving then jump at it!
Staying with the evil you know will be a long term bad choice. Run while you can and start life away from this dumpster fire.
Went through the same thing a few months back. 15yr employee. Until June of 2020, I had been positive about the future of Allstate. Feb of 2021, Had an offer from a great company. Lost two nights of sleep on the decision. Tendered my resignation with two weeks notice, and was termed immediately. I can tell you that the grass IS greener. Allstate is no longer an organization that cares about customers or employees. Accept your offer and them help your best co-workers get jobs at your new place.
I think if you went through all it takes to get an offer - updating resume, applying, multiple interviews - then deep down you know you need to go. It’s scary, but the writing is on the wall here — it is only going to get worse for employees at Allstate. Employees are not valued.
Ask yourself two questions and write the answers. Which job will you like more? Which job pays more and has a better career path and opportunities?
That is something I struggle with and one of the only reasons I haven’t left this awful company, but they say life begins where you comfort zone ends
Just go for it. Getting out of your comfort zone will make you a better person, work wise and overall. Good luck!
No real answer here, just going through the same thing. Only way is through. Staying will destroy what’s left of your mental and emotional health. Leaving, there will at least be a chance for growth and a new start with fresh opportunities. All good stuff. It’s hard, but leaving is the best choice.
