I don't know if this many people have ever left this company before? Is that the goal of our top dogs? Since the start of the week, several colleagues of mine have left. I wonder if our leadership is ready to deal with the consequences that are inevitable because the best people are leaving.

Heard we are losing few more today and tomorrow because of the continued garbage managers keep pushing but we are reducing G&A.
Does anyone still LIKE working at CHK?
Because I've not met a single employee who isn't EAGER to accept an offer to join another company right now.
So many people are acting like they've seen "the writing on the wall", so to speak, treating now as a good time to jump ship.
Haaa. And you think SB throwing temper tantrums and protecting his BOYS is ok?? Bet those staff meetings are fun to watch all the VPs jockey for position.
Last I heard we were around 1,200 ish. Some people walk around like we are still the company of 12,000 and have 200 rigs and buying everything in site. In reality we are 1,200 of what’s left and selling everything that can be sold. Literally selling trash cans, dinner plates, and forks and spoons.
Just as curiosity, what’s the total head count now?
Below 1,000?
I recall in November 2019 when I got laid off the total number of employees under DL was ~2,300
All part of the plan to cut staff without having to pay out and lower G&A so the VPs can hit targets and cash in on bonuses.
Engineering
From what departments? Not saying it’s not happening, just not happening in mine. Just curious.
The best people has already left already or being unfairly laid off.
These ones are just lucky average Joes that were able to find something else that will pay for their mortgage, and will have a slightly longer life than the 1-2 years left to CHK prior to the final implosion
This is not a product of the bankruptcy or the loss of LTI. This is the product of consistent lack of leadership and the hypocritical culture that the c-suit has created. It’s been the mentality of do as I say and not as I do. It’s been the beatings will continue until the moral improves. It’s been the consistent good ole boy system that the spider and his cronies created. When they realized they lost control they did what any narcissist does and they move on. The ironic thing is a narcissist never believes they are the narcissist.
They already fired their best people. The only ones left are in the club, friends protecting friends.
The consequences are exactly what they want. Losing a lot of people is all part of the plan. Gives cover to the inevitable sale. Sad but exactly what many of us predicted.
