Is it possible that there are people who think that some are trying to get others to quit so that they can move up in seniority? I don’t believe people have such hidden motives. C'mon, is it even possible to advise anyone to stay here? NS is a place from which everyone is trying to run away from.

Doubtful.....you can throw a stone and hit a number of open turns in many terminals. At mine there are so many open spots the new guys they get and train will be able to hold the pool from day 1
Ya thinck
Well yes I looke out for number one and me onlys. I want a better shifts. And bettered off day.
I think it’s people seeing others struggling with the same decisions they did when they left. And if it hurts the company by talking people into leaving, that’s icing on the cake
You go to work to make money not friends !
I'm guessing you haven't worked for a railroad very long, or you're entirely oblivious to how things run. The backstabbing and deception to move up in seniority or company positions is common practice across many railroads. The NS is no different than any other railroad out there. Yeah, the NS sucks hands down. I really hope you don't think the NS is the worst though. I have a few friends at the UP. The stories I heard from them is something I hope doesn't happen at the NS. If the same things happen here, then this is just the beginning.
