Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Titanic

I am burned out and tired of the lack of staffing, unreasonable workloads & expectations, technology that doesn’t work and management through fear. This appears to be the Titanic with water rushing in on the lower decks. Good luck everyone.

I wish they cared half as much about claims, their claims handlers, and their core business, as they do their technology and programmers.

I feel like claims is an unwanted aspect of the company, while also being its core business.

While folks In Systems and ET getting high and mighty jobs and promotions amd kudos and awards. And bonus.

Perspective. It’s a show. Tech and service clash and erroneous pricing and quoting and service/sales and marketing systems.

Pride is overwhelming. Sad for the hard workers in areas. It’s disheartening to see the 3rd party show exploiting past and present employees.

Please share your proof source on adjuster life span post retirement. Otherwise we will know it is just the usual BS.

And you wonder why on the average adjustors live 3 years after retirement. They know it and they want you to live less than 3 years after you retire. That's a fact.

that is what is happening in auto injury right now. The metrics are unattainable and they are beating us up to handle things as quickly as possible. But, the metrics are unattainable. It would be nice if people that are trying to do right thing and handle claims in the right way or appreciate it rather than getting beat up on my block. It seems that eventually they would realize that constant criticism and negative reinforcement is not motivating.

But they don’t care, I’m sure they are hoping I will quit or die.

I had to retire early since my office closed and I am unable to move. Fortunately I have the small pension and health insurance. I'm curious what would happen in this scenario. I move to a hub and get a claims job. I totally ignore all metrics, criticism and threats. I work the claims at a reasonable pace to the highest level of accuracy and customer service. Do you think they would fire me or put up with an experienced warm body doing claims?
