I’m surprised that no one is talking about this on the Lowe’s Reddit page.
I’m not a cabinet specialist but I used to be an appliance specialist. I would not be able mentally to sit with a customer for two hours, boring lol. The details you need to know, heat shields and various colors, types of cabinets and counters, fillers and m20.

Need a list of affected stores if someone one gets it post it here
It probably depends on the sales tier of the store. The one in our market does over $60 million/yr and last I checked they still have a cabinet specialist.
It’s happening companywide before the end of the year all appliance associates need to learn cabinets or find a new job
Are they cutting appliance specialists too?
The term 'underperforming locations' is very sad and true.
Like 'ridiculously located positions.'
That's where I'm at. Hiding in a towel cabinet.
Learning new 'things'.
Happened in our store. If your store is below 50 million a year you lose one. Cabinets and Appliances are one department now. Corporate was watching the last 6 months sales between the specialists. The one with the lowest was made a csa 4. Now appliance specialists have to design kitchens!!
Yes, it has started for under performing locations.
Have not heard this where is this coming from
